I was in the same boat.So I bought used texas rags that were ready to go, found some shells on sale and Higdon full body motion dekes on sale and got me a spread.Cabelas and others have rags for $30. you have to tape them and put them on stakes.
[email protected] he has t rags ready to go he wants to sell for $85. a hundred
I figure I'll start upgrading to better winsocks next year but we kill over trags and shells.I mad an e caller from a car cd player. You can but a cheap call to learn on.Hope this helps.
MY SUGGESTION IS GO BUY YOURSELF 200 RAGS AND 2OR3 DOZEN SHELLS THATS ABOUT 400.00 DOLLARS MAKE SURE YOU TIE YOUR RAGS OR THEY ARE KIND OF WORTHLESS, WHEN HUNTING SET YOUR DECOYS FACING THE WIND AND THEN TIP THE DOWN WIND SIDE OF THEM WITH SHELLS SO THAT THE SNOWS SEE YOUR SHELLS FIRST WHEN THEY COME IN AND YOU MAY GET A BETTER SHOT AT GETTING ONE. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU ARE SITTING IN THE DOWN WIND SIDE IN CASE THE GEESE FLARE YOU WILL HAVE ABETTER CHANCE OF GETTING A CLOSER SHOT
