Try small family groups. If you have 16 decoys, try, say, a family of 5, a couple fours and a 3 on the outside. Those Hard Cores are nice...but my buddies are getting banged up pretty good so make sure you spend a lot of time babying them.

As for Canada rags.....I only use full bodies and swear by them. If you're hunting a high pressure area I don't recommend looking into rags.

Around Lubbock there's a pile of little ones, and I agree numbers are the name of the game.

I'm not a big fan of silhouettes because of their shine. I own 10 dozen and I only pull them out when I need to add more to my full bodies and when there's definite clouds. Different strokes for different folks...

Should I simply continue to look for a better place to hunt?
There's NO such thing as too much scouting, always be on the lookout for new areas.

I have Outlaws, and Real Geese old style and Pro-Guide. I like the cloth finish...but why the heck didn't they put it on both sides??? You still have to angle every decoy and some will cause the shine.

To each his own...but my silhouettes collect dust. I use Bigfoots because they last forever (very durable) and I prefer to buy decoys made in the USA.
