Today, I hunted alone and decided to use all the deeks I had to put down a decent spread before the dark geese season ended. 3 dozen FeatherLite snow shells-2 dozen Sillosocks (plastic-bag type body on white corrugated plastic heads-2 dozen snow sillouettes-1 dozen Redhead XPS specklebelly shells -all placed in a U-pattern. It actually pulled in one Ross & a small snow to ground level. Otherwise, it only interested the rest somewhat. If it wasn't for the low ceiling fog I don't think the snows would have paid it much interest. But taking over an hour to pick it all up in the 78 degree day was no fun! And all that effort for specks, and everything I shot was white-go figure.
