you're right, I think it does depend on the state. It's not legal up here in ND, but how the sink blind is used can vary...

I've heard that sink blinds are illegal to use...any truth to this? Maybe dependant on the state?

Their illegal in Wisconsin. I would probably be afraid to sit in one. Just one big wave will sink one. I can swim but that is some pretty cold water.
yea they are. they outlaw most of the stuff that works to good
Yea, I live on the Eastern Shore of MD. There illegal to use, maybe in some states they arnt though.
