SHELLS VS. SILOS

are silos as or more or less effective as shells?

and whats the easiest and cheapest way to make silos?

I always think that the more body mass that you have out the better...but if you ar going for numbers then you can do the silos....my.02
a mixture of both is best for numbers. I personally dont really bring them out until later on in the season, when we need bigger numbers
I have hunted many set ups with only Silos and they seem to not commit quiete as well, when directly over and high the silos tend to disappear on the geese.
I am not sure what I would choose if I had to pick just one. I think a mixture of both is the ticket. Our usual spread is 4-5 doz silos and 2-3 doz shells with at least one doz on motion stakes. Don't usually use fullbodies, since if the ground is wet we have to pack stuff in. Don't have any problems getting them to decoy with just shells and silos
