Anybody ever wear Rocky Ice Stalker pac boots? Sounds like they have about 1,000g Thinsulate. I need a warm pair for the goose fields; my uninsulated didn't work for me last Saturday in 17 degrees F. I've heard good things about LaCrosse Ice Kings as well. Any experience w/ these Rockies?

Hey Mark, I haven't heard anything about those boots, how much are they? 1,000g should be very nice & warm.

Being the cheap skate that I am, I found a pair of Browning boots in Max 4 (or MOSG?) with 600g thinsulate at Cabela's for about $40 that I'm going to pickup before next season.

I figure, 600g has got to be better than 0 that I'm used to wearing. I've heard 200g should be the minimum.

I don't care what boots you buy.. you gotta have the right socks..
For years i've worn nothing but Rocky socks...
This year i bought the Wadertech socks from DRAKE.. these are awesome
half the thickness of the Rocky's...
I wear them in my 400g's 1200g Rocies and my 1600 waders from Cabela...
By the way, for $180.. these are the best waders i have evr owned..
These socks are a spandex/polar fleece combo.. they are incredible
