No Geese today.....Only saw two small flocks. Many Ducks in the area and thankful for that cause the quackers kept us busy this morning.

Question: Any have anythoughts about Robo Duck with Goose Decoys. I was told Yes and No. I have experience Geese lock in with Robo doing his thing - but that was in N.Dak.

Don't do it!! THe robo spooks the geese. Friends have added one to our spreads in the past, and the geese flared off right away.
just my 2 cents....
we will hunt with a robo and goose decoys, but you either have to keep it close to the blind and shut it off or bring it in, or use a remote to shut it off.
i have the new and improved lucky duck and yesterday i had it set up about 20 yards from the goose decoys and had 3 flocks come in

We run our robos at first shooting ligh when the ducks are going out to feed but once the geese start flying we shut them off and take them down.
Geese hate them with a passion!
I do it all the time, just make sure when the geese are comming shut the robo duck off. Otherwise it sucks the ducks right in.
I have also used a motorized decoy and I didn't notice much of a difference with the geese. I wouldn't waste my money on one just for goose hunting. There great for ducks.
I've used a magnum flasher that I think works better than a robo. http://www.doubletakedecoys.com/

But, I turn it off when it comes to Geese in Pacific Flyway in the rice fields. On the otherhand, I'd be interested in finding out if the flashing wing on this bad boy would work painted with similar colors to the geese. Frankly, I think they are scared of the white flashing....but certainly, it would be worth trying a spinning wing with Brown on one side, Black on the other.

Bad idea the robo duck scares the geese

If you use a robo duck in the field goose and duck hunting take it off the pole and turn it off and if u do that than your set.
The robo ducks work great for early morning duck hunting but the geese hate them we have forgotten to turn them off a couple of times and the geese always flare.
I have had em land 2ft behind a robo on the river, but flare consistantly on the field...
