No Geese today.....Only saw two small flocks. Many Ducks in the area and thankful for that cause the quackers kept us busy this morning.
Question: Any have anythoughts about Robo Duck with Goose Decoys. I was told Yes and No. I have experience Geese lock in with Robo doing his thing - but that was in N.Dak.
we will hunt with a robo and goose decoys, but you either have to keep it close to the blind and shut it off or bring it in, or use a remote to shut it off.
We run our robos at first shooting ligh when the ducks are going out to feed but once the geese start flying we shut them off and take them down.
Geese hate them with a passion!
I have also used a motorized decoy and I didn't notice much of a difference with the geese. I wouldn't waste my money on one just for goose hunting. There great for ducks.
But, I turn it off when it comes to Geese in Pacific Flyway in the rice fields. On the otherhand, I'd be interested in finding out if the flashing wing on this bad boy would work painted with similar colors to the geese. Frankly, I think they are scared of the white flashing....but certainly, it would be worth trying a spinning wing with Brown on one side, Black on the other.

The robo ducks work great for early morning duck hunting but the geese hate them we have forgotten to turn them off a couple of times and the geese always flare.
