Is it true that rem oil can actually harm your gun included the blueing and the stock? I heard this from a friend and t doesn't sound like something remington would do

I hae never had a problem with Rem Oil on bluing, etc. I am usually a bit careful and wipe it off, but use it a lot and never seen any problems.

I've been using rem oil for years. Its not my preffered oil, but its easy to get. I've never had any probems with it. You may run into problems if you over use it, but thats in the mechanics of the firearm. Colder temperatures cause the oil to coagulate causing things to stick and malfunction. Rem Oil does the job for me.
