How many of you have tried an "X" pattern on your deke spread and what kind of success do you have with it?
There is a lot of banter about it being passed around by some of the guides I know but I'm curious if any of the do-it-yourselfers out there have used the "X" instead of a "U" or "J" spread.
Hmmm, might have to try that. I've read about it in Magazine articles about hunting in TX. Might be that odd thing that makes them dive in to the spread??!!
If you have no wind they will work with all the opening they have multiple landing zones unlike if you have a U or J then they just to slip of to the sides. But I wouldnt use an X on windy days.
