Off Season

So now that the season is over for a lot of us out there, I'll be trying out a new flocking kit that I got for Christmas and getting all my dekes washed up, cleaned up, and touched up where they need it.

What do you do during the off season?

Get ready for the snows!!!!! :D
Paint and flock the decoys and then fish for trout in the spring and hunt turkeys. Then I will start to scout for the early goose season. There is always something to do between hunting and fishing. :)
When it all ends here in W. Pa, I start looking for sales of decoys, regret all of the missed birds, & prepare to not call in a turkey in spring gobbler. Any other Pennsylvanians out there notice how expensive it has become to fish in the Keystone State?

You sound just like me. I could have had a limit of geese almost every time I was out there, but I will always miss. My family and friends have been hunting turkey up in norteast PA on our own private property for 25 years and we have never shot one! You will see turkeys almost every time you are there when it is not turkey season and then once turkey season comes, you will never see them. You might hear them, but that is about it. The only thing I can do good at and get something is trout fish. I know the licenses went up in price this past year for fishing.
