Just wondering how many canada decoys you guys use? We usually run 60-70 fullbodys and 3 doz silos but that depends on the time of year! Early season we only use 30 fullbodies :!:

12 dozen fullbodies, 4 dozen shells, 2 dozen silos... what we put out depends on location, time of year, weather conditions, and whether or not we have to walk in.
We will use about 40-50 fullbodys this year and about 3-4 doz shells.
wish i was as lucky as you to to live in sd, went to school in brookings for 2 years this year i didnt go back just working now. You dont realize how lucky you have it out there for waterfowl hunting. Take advantage of it while you can, MN is nothing compared to SD.
When hunting over water I have about 27 floaters that I use all the time with some luck. I read a article in a magazine of a guy using only 2 decoys after the first weekend of duck season. So I tried it on early goose season one morning and I could not reload fast enough. but did get my limit of 5 in 1hr.
Depends on where and when. Early season in Wisconsin and Minnesota we'll use 2-3 dozen. As the season moves on and the migrators come down we'll up that number to 6 - 8 dozen. In October when we make our annual trip to Saskatchewan we'll throw out everything we can get our hands on. Full body is the way to go but they are bulky and expensive for a lot of hunters. To help defer both, try hunting with a couple of friends with dekes.
anywhere from 3 decoys to 50dz fullbodys depends on the time of year
i have 2 dzn full bodies and 1 dzn shells. thats the bare min. for me.
For all of us poor college kids I only use about a doz. FB's and 3 doz shells. Works most of the time untill the gut down the road from you has 12 doz. FB's and then you're pretty much screwed.
3-5 dozen FLOCKED shells with a dozen full-bodies to put around our selves and a couple of crow decoys.Later in the season I'll add 4-5 dozen silos to bulk up our spread.

Have you noticed a big difference with the crow decoys? I was going to try it this year and place them around 75 yards away. Thanks
Just like american express.... Do'nt leave home without em. I put a couple 50-75 yards from our layout spot and it seems to make a difference. Less hesitation it seems like. If you can't find any crow decoys try a wire coathanger. bend her up in the shape of a crow, straighten out the hook end to stick in the ground. Wrap er up with duck tape and spray the thing with flat black.Presto instant crow silo. Shot a lot of them that way
one dozen big foots one dozen g&h shells one dozen higdon otion shells and a dozen renzo silos
