I was wondering if anyone uses neoprene dog vests? If so, are they worth buying? What benefits does it give your dog? I am considering buying one, but I don't know if it is practicle or if it just looks nice.

I have one for my yellow lab, I think it helps keep some warmth in them, and when I take it off, she is dry underneath the vest.

I would recommend one if it doesn't bother your dog- I have one with the extra floatation and chest protector- you never know what is right under the water where your bud is jumping in, plus when that ice gets flowing, extra warmth never hurts.

How big is your lab. I have one of the Herters neoprene vests in good shape. It is much to small for my 105 lb. lab.

Probably trade you for a full body deke.
