Has anyone had any experiance using a robo goose decoyfor movement, or the hidgon constant motion shells on a stake? I have some of the G&H wobblers and find they end up being used as plain shells more often than not.
I do have 6 of th eG&H motion decoys, but they are such a pain to get the heas on and off they stay together all year which takes up valuable truck bed or trailer space.
I'll second Jim's observation. They are great long distance attention getters---but geese hate them when they get close to it and will not commit. I use a Mallard spinner to attract the geese and ducks--but turn it off when the geese get within 200 yds. I then rely on flagging to bring them in all the way.
I am hoping to buy a higdon Finisher Flapper for this next fall , not too big on the price though, 100bucks?!?! It seems like a convenient way to keep a group of full bodies while adding some motion.
got 2 doz of the stackable feeders by higdon, they work on a stake and the slightest breeze gets them dancing. used them the l;ast month of the season here in southern pa. mixed them in with 4 doz big feet. and killed alot of geese. the will all stake into each other and fit well into a bag. good luck.
let em land
