My buddy and I are building layout blinds instead of buying them. We have everything figured out how big their are gonna be what we are going to use for material for the outside. The only thing we are running into is what should we use as a pad to sit on, we have thought about using egg creat padding but don't know where to get it. Anyone have any ideas???

What about using a foam sleeping pad (used for camping)? They're pretty cheap, you can get them in various thickness' and you could cut it to fit.
I'd go with a sleeping pad. They'll work great and can be found in earth tones...thought that may not matter when its under the blind. Cabelas has some in thei cmaping section. Take a look and see what you think.
I found some sleeping mats at the ARMY store. I make my own blinds as well and I think it works better than the Avery Power hunter. It's lighter and I can cary a lot of deeks with it. I think it looks better too (imo). Also your local Wallie World has them for about 5 or 6 bucks if you don't mind a blue one. Good luck.
