That is a normally a great area for goose action in Manitoba.

You should check with a local RM though. We drove through that area a couple of weeks ago and from there to Winnipeg has way too much water. The fields from Pembina to Winnipeg where totally under water. Normally water is a good thing for the ducks and geese, but the crops are a major loss right now and I don't think that any amount of drying out is going to help. I hope I'm wrong. Without the fields for the birds to feed in, they will be moving south to better feeding grounds. Be sure to check with the RMs and locals so you aren't disappointed.

i neglected to say i am hunting with a local outfitter who also is a farmer; not freelancing; property adjoins oak hammock refuge ; have confirmed many farmers were not able to plant; lots of waterfowl now; later?.jp.
