Both areas are great! Lots of geese and ducks. More water in the area this year than there has been in the past 3 or 4 years, so the birds will be more spread out. Looks like the harvest is going to be about two weeks later than normal due to weather.
As to bird cleaning places... there are Huterite(sp?) colonies in the area that do bird cleaning. Be sure if you don't clean them yourself, that the cleaners leave a wing on your birds. Last year when we came back through Pembina, there was a group that came through customs at the same time as we did and had all of their birds confiscated because they did not have the manditory wing left on. They were all neatly packaged and marked by the cleaners and individually frozen. Needless to say the writing on the packages didn't hold much weight with the boys at the border! They ended up birdless and cashless as well!
