Hi there all goosers in North America
As You all probably are waiting for the season and what it all will bring of joy (and frustration). I¨ll easy Your mind with a story from goose hunting in Norway.
Over here we start the season Aug 1st and it last all the way to X-mas, and even longer for Great Canadas,(througout february).
We hunt Greylag geese (Anser Anser), you don`t have this specie in NA, but it`s most similar to White front geese, (anser alfons).
We hunt both morning and evening if possible, but I usually have more success in the morning.

Welcome aboard! With your hunting season going for already 7 weeks how have you been doing? Man I wish I had a 6 month season for hunting Honkers.[/img]

Hi there
So far this season have brought me 31 geese and one Mallard, but to be honest, a little beter shooting could have brought me more. But again I`m satisfied,(so far). the season is still long and the great canadas haven`t shown up yet. And as for mallards I usually get a few of those as well before X-mas.

As for your shooting--if I am interpreting it right--12 shot shells = 14 geese, and yet you say it could have been better? Huh? :?
