Hey yall,
I was wantin to know if there were anybody that hunts in southern illinois that often. I m from jefferson county in SI. also whats calls does everyone have on their lanyard. i have primos high roller, du wench, rnt original, and a foiles SMH.

Yes Sir, I hunt up here by the Quad cities between the Illinois and Mississippi rivers. I'm only an hour drive from the Mississippi. I've been going down there checking out blinds, but the problem this year is the low water. I would rather hunt the feilds with a lay out blind than out of a blind on the river. I have a primos flute and a short reed lohman.

Imagine that i'm from Jefferson County too gooseslayer, the huntin kinda sucked last season, I'm really ready for the season to start down here, listening to all these other guys talk about killin geese gets me itchin.
I got a Tru-Tone "High Octane" acrylic, A homemade call a buddy i hunt with makes, a Tru-Tone double reed Cocabola duck call, and an RNT timbre single reed, and a primos drake whistle.

I spent most of last winter in California. I was told I didn't miss much.
I will be here all this winter. Our quota sucks, if we do get birds the season will be over in 2 weeks.

I got 2 Foiles (Straitmeat & Canadian Classic), B&W goose call, Rainman goose & snow, Rnt Original, RNT Short Barrel and RNT Timbre. Somtimes I take my Foiles Straitmeat Mallard. I always have all of them in my bag.

On Foggy days I always have my P.S.Flute call.

Where you located mccree?? I think we'll have a good season, cause they lowered the quota in the north and central zone along with the bag limit. Hopefully an early migration will force the birds down here a week before our season starts so they get comfortible and feel safe. Then we'll smack em!! of course this is all speculation

I plan on heading up to Caryle Lake an dipping into there quota.

The last few years of bad weather have finally killed our quota.
