Does anyone use these. We have been using them for a couple years and I am begining to think that they are flaring the birds. I saw a chair that had a covering over the sight wholes that the hunter could see through.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Stick out to much in the field and to clumsy to carry into the field. I would go with a layout blind. Fold up, easy to carry, and low profile in the field. Plus, you are protected from the elements and you lower half of your body doesn't stick out

My .02 cents.

We have used them for the September season for the locals and they work OK. Once they have been shot at they don't work all that well. Save your money and get as good a laydown blind as you can get.
I use an old laydown sun chair that is adjustable. I'm sure you've all collapsed in one at one time or another. I use a camo cover and I'm just as happy as if I bought a good laydown blind. I have an adjustable back, I'm off the ground about 3 or 4 inches. I can always see and my gun is alway's by my side ready to go. I can't afford to buy a good blind right now so I improvised..
