I Dont know if that is what you call it, but they make a low growling noise. Expert callers switch to the uh-uh-uh sound with a low clucking mixed in when trying to "finish" decoying birds. It works. Most good goose calling tapes have good examples. Short reed calls seem to work better for me on this but others work ok too. Just need to try.
the feeding chuckle is very deadly when they are in close. i use the words da da da da or gu gu gu. and then throw in a few clucks and they are through. saunders calls are the ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not exactly a chukle more of a growl. i would suggest getting a zink video called the ancient art of paralying has the best calling techniques really great video
In late season this may be the only call you'll need. They're getting call -shy. A few clucks & this call which I make w/ a "da, da, da, da, da" w/ my flute - deadly. If they're still a little hestitant, throw in a long comeback.
