I have heard some people say that geese have a feeding chuckle like ducks do. is this true?

I Dont know if that is what you call it, but they make a low growling noise. Expert callers switch to the uh-uh-uh sound with a low clucking mixed in when trying to "finish" decoying birds. It works. Most good goose calling tapes have good examples. Short reed calls seem to work better for me on this but others work ok too. Just need to try.

Allrightnow is right. The Guh..Guh..Guh is how you do it. The Shawn Stahl video is the best video on the market. If you don't own it, buy it.

In late season this may be the only call you'll need. They're getting call -shy. A few clucks & this call which I make w/ a "da, da, da, da, da" w/ my flute - deadly. If they're still a little hestitant, throw in a long comeback.
