If you want to hear a feeding call or murmur, I believe that you can check out Shawn Stahl's website called fowlpursuit.com and look for sound files. Look for live goose murmur and this should give you an idea. The rhythm of these geese is pretty slow and normally when I do a feeding call it is a little deeper and quicker paced. I also mix in a couple clucks. If you can't figure it out, PM me and maybe I can help out a little more.
Huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, putt. It works great when they are about to land.
da da da da da da da da da da is a good one. There is also a lot of websites that have good tips for. Bill Saunders Guide series has some good tips, Gundogs Online has a video library and it has one of the best calling videos I have seen on the internet. Also takeem.com has some really good clips adn tips too. Just look around for calling tips and you will find answers
da da da da da......works for me but i put a honk in with it so its more of a walking feed chatter.
:D i like to get low and nasty, with a growling technique, use little puff's of air into your call but do not puff your cheek's out.just growl while your blowing into call.don't worry if you hit a bad note. if you ever heard geese feeding, and one come's over a knock's the crap out of the other one.you'll understand what i'm trying to explain to you. hope this help's
i have to agree with other duh duh duh duh duh works well if you very the air pressure it will sound like more geese also throw in a couple clucks hope this helps
All that has to come from the gut.
All these posts pretty much sum the question up. There are other close in or feeding calls....but thats another chapter.
I have problems with the feeding calls... i have tried DA DA DA DA but I am not quite sure if it sounds like youre saying DA DA DA through the call or is it that you are going to say DA DA DA but you dont finish the word DA.
Please explain?
