Greetings to y’all..
not quite a newby, but… I haven’t waterfowl / goose hunted in over 35 years.. ( joined military way back then). Live in Northeast Mississippi…

I loved to goose hunt way back when.. hunted with my grandfather as a kid.. left the seen, and now got the interest back in my head.

I have a Remington 870 Express Magnum 2 3/4 - 3 inch shells. Taken many Turkey, deer, and coyotes and a few pheasants with it… now got the itch to get back to goose hunting…Wondering what choke to use with 2 shot, BB and BBB shot, steel shot, over a few decoys.

I remember grandpa saying.. don’t shoot until you can see their eyes.. did fairly well back then (1978-1982 ish)..so I’d say shooting up to no more than 40 yards (ish)…

I will be buying a few bigfeet decoys and some flags..
not really a hard core hunter, just enjoy the hunt, the sound of the birds.. bagging a couple, or a few would be a bonus!!

Thanks for looking, and the suggestions….
Hope y’all’s hunts are full filling and enjoyable..

I'd check the Carlson line-up. There are numerous brands that warn against using larger than #2's...keep an eye out for them
