I am new to the sport of goose hunting this year, and i was hoping to get some insight from you expirenced fella's. as of this year, i shot a reminghton 870 express 12 gauge while goose hunting, but was not impressed with its performance. i am looking to buy a new gun specificly for this season, but could use some help deciding. im sure my AK47 would wok wonders, but i like to do it the legal way  thanks for your help.

I'm very partial to my Beretta Extrema. Never hangs, and will handle 1 oz. loads every time. Haven't tried 7/8 oz. loads yet. It's also nearly indestructible. The blueing is the best I've ever seen. Only drawbacks are no stock length adjustment, and a little heavier than Super Black Eagle.
I'm using an 835 and not having any issues. It's rugged reliable and it can shoot the bigger loads that gives me a little advantage when my shooting isn't as sharp as it should be. I have a friend that is using an 870 and he's having great success. It's all in what your comfortable with.

What do you mean? It is almost always the shooter, not the gun. I use the same gun from deer, to turkeys, to dove, to waterfowl. Spend the money on more decoys. :)
Buy whatever gun feels right to you and is in your budget. Guns are like trucks and guys will argue till next season on which gun is great and which ones aren't. Go and look at everything you can find. I shoot a SBE but I have an old 870 that I like every bit as much.
I used a mossberg 835 for a few years and it worked great, I recently got a 935 and love it, but like gilmore1011 said get one that you like and in the budget, any shotgun will do the trick when they come in hot and heavy :D
