Just would like to read some sucsess stories. I will try to get it started. Went out for afternoon hunt, SE Nebraska on sat. Dec 6 overcast SE wind 15-20 corn stuble 1.5 north of pond 10,000 + snows 1500 Canadians useing for a roost. We got there at 2:00 pm pulled in the field emptied the trailer got it and the truck out of the field when we looked to our east and a half mile over is a flock of snows in field feeding 300+. We set up anyway. 5 min later a lone honk everybody lays down and he goes right on by. Its now 2:30 we are set up 1dz full bodies 4dz stadard shells 1 dz mag shells 2dz super mags half dz grand mags backed up by 5 dz snow shells and 1 dz rags. the lone goose comes back and spend the rest of his life with us. Now its on we have geese in the air everywere even the snows next to us cooperate and get up and leave. Everything works in our favor, small groups work us 25 snows at a time end up with 11 and smaller groups of Cans. end up with 5 and 2 of which are banded. Only problem is the Cans did not work the spread very well they came in the front pocket just fine but at 60yds all but 2 groups went out around the dekes to the west bad calling or bad we setup to many dekes or not enough. we were sitting in the upper edge of the spread on either side of the pocket covered by grand mag shells could concealment be my problem? Poor shooting kept the tally down on the snows shold have had a lot more they worked the dekes great. I would just like better decoying Cans. :?:

I got a goose hunting report for ya.

Couldn't get on the Plan A field and settled for the backup field to run some traffic. Ran a 25 dozen bigfoot spread and 9 shooters.

There has been a lot of pressure in the flyway the past 2 weeks so we had to hit the birds with a lot of calling and flagging. Had a little trouble finishing the large flocks, but everything under a dozen birds was locked up and came to the ground.

Ended up with our fill, and spent the afternoon taking some of the biggest greenheads I've ever seen. After hunting every weekend for almost 4 months straight this might've been the last weekend. Time to pull out the ice auger!
