I am interested in information about goose hunting in Alberta for the non-resident. It sounds as though it is tough to find hunting unless you are guided. Is this true?

We live in MT, so we are very used to areas that are very difficult for non-residents to find non-guided hunting. How hard is access?

My son and I hunt for mainly Canadas in Alberta. I have lived here all my life. Yes there are a few places where access is difficult. But even the Geese have to eat. Talk back at me. Possibly we can hook up for a nice faLL SHOOT. You are not that far away.

A lot of farmers are madd at American Hunters not because they do not want to have them hear but because the politicians are making a game of the MCD. Possibly if the American hunters would support the opening of the border this might soften for next year.

I do some outfitting here in Alberta and have been denied access to land because of the cow issues here. Alot of the farmers are lossing their land and can't make a living anymore and are pissed off. It wouldn't be easy to do a hunt here on your own. If you plan on doing it you better do it soon because they are shutting things down so you need an outfitter to take you. It will either be shut down this year or very soon. Good luck because the hunting is great and the limits are big.

I think the other provinces are in on needing an outfitter as well just to let you know.
