I was wondering if there was anywhere you could get aerial photos of real geese. Thought that would be kind of cool to look at and help for setting out decoys. Thanks.
bought some neoprene flat silos,,, had to nail them to the ground on windy days... don't remember where i got them but i still have a bunch left... the mice sure do like them
Planes are great except yoou have to stay at a certain alltitude. You'd be better getting hooked up with someone with a ultra light. They move slower and don't have all sruts to obstruct your view. Also they have over head silos. Cabelas has them. Look under outlaw silos and they'll be there online at least. For arrangements with a plane, check with a local airport. There is usually some one that does that kind of stuff. Make sure that you tell them that you want to be able to take pictures or else you may get stuck with a plane that has the wings beneath the cockpit instead of above.
I REMEMBER GROWING UP MY UNCLE HAD A REMOTE CONTROLED AIRPLANE WITH A CAMERA IN IT. MAYBE YOU COULD CHECK WITH SOMEONE IN YOUR AREA AND SEE IF THERE IS ANYONE THAT COULD HELP YOU OUT.
Hey, I used to fly, 400 hours in single engines. All you would really have to do is stop by an FBO (Fixed base operator, basically rent-a-car for planes) talk to the person at the desk, see if they know any pilots looking to build their time at the controls. Bring your telephoto though, pilots get a little nervous about flying around flocks of birds. A small, single engine, like a Cessna 152 or 172 (if you can find someone with a 177, it's "strutless" wing 4 seater, that would be perfect!) would be a great way to get what you want. Offer to split the gas and any pilot looking to build time would jump at it. Now you got me thinking about flying again!!
