Don't have it anymore, but the Primos Honkytonk and the Primos Big Easy. Just couldn't get the sounds out of them that I wanted. The one that I own and don;t like is the Buck Gardner Workin' Man. That call is EXTREMLY hard to blow, and I feel like I'm gona bust a lung just to get a cluck out of it. I gave it to a buddy of mine to try and tune it to make it easier to blow but havent seen him to get it back yet. All I know is that I get red in the face to try and blow that call...whew.

This is most definitely one of those personal experience things. Several people mention the PC-1 and I actually use that call all the time. I like my shorty express better, but the PC-1 works fine for me. Maybe it's just a question of bad tuning because I tuned mine myself and can run it great. Breaks over a little to easily for a beginner but once I got decent on it I love that about it. It lets me get alot more out of one breath. As far as the growl out of the low end, I have no problem getting it with my voice or by contracting the air cavity in my mouth. With that said, it does lack a little range on the low end but that's a trade off for the easy break.

Lately, with the way the birds have been acting, every call I use is the worst one I own! I can't get anything to commit!

I was anxious to meet Butch when he was down here for the LA State calling contests, but every time he went outside, where we might talk, he was helping kids with their calls. Something I didn't want to disturb, so I never did get to meet the man.

Don't know who was representing RNT in Kansas, but I'll bet it wasn't he.

Zink Money Maker, the bell shaped end makes it extremely hard to get low sounds out of and I just don't find the sound to be quit right in my opinion anyway.

Ha! A Big River Long Honker flute. I've had it for years, I think it was a gift. It does not sound like a goose to me, and it takes too much air to work. If I found anyone that wanted it I would give it to them. But nobody wants it!

My first short reed goose call was an Illusion. I just couldn't make it sound right and I almost gave up on short reeds. Now that I'm a fairly accomplished caller, I decided to see if it was just me and that call wasn't so bad. I dug it out and tried it, and that call is still terrible.
