I've been trying to get out and do some trout fishing but the rivers here are so small that even a tiny rain shower makes them muddy and rises the water a few feet. So I haven't been able to get out yet and supposed to be more storms today. However back in May me and a buddy rigged up our hunting bows for bowfishing and smacked some carp out in Lake Gaston. We got some real big ones.

Anyone else doin any fishing???

Sounds good. Yeah they've been rescuing a few folks off the James recently. I didn't realize you were from VA til just now. I'm right below Richmond in Chester.

Hey small world! I am from Ontario! right next to you guys!
Wait, never mind, my globe is telling me otherwise.

Any way, ya just can off of turkey season. It ended May 31. Managed to shoot my limit (2), they were the first turkeys I had ever shot. Now I am on to Pickerel and Bass, my dad caught a 5 pound small mouth and I caught a decent pike. Goose season starts in 80 days can’t wait!
Any of you guys get any turkeys?

Take er easy
see ya in the stubble
