Threads on Sony Handicam base??

Does anyone know what size the attachment threads are? Thinking about making a " 16" spike" to use while spring turkey hunting. Simply stick it in the ground beside me,when I need it,I can reach over aim and flip it on when hunting solo!

A word to the wise the Sony Handicam isn't very friendly to excess moisture or dirt; my first one didn't even make it through my Wife and I's trip to South Beach Miami. It's either 30mm to 37mm depending on your model.

Thanks, it's just something to play with. It will stay in the case unless it's really needed...
