shot this honker this year actually first hunt and first goose of the season...is it rare, common, different or just a subspecies

I shot one with 2 white dots on its breast. pretty cool never seen it i dont know if its rare will post pics when i get it back from the taxidermist

I don't think that marking is anything too rare, at least it's not in my area so I would assume it's the same where you're at. I had never paid very close attention to the geese until this year and I noticed that about 8 of our 18 birds the other day had markings similar to this.

I've shot Giant's with some weird coloration like that. Were you near a park or anything or shooting resident geese? You'll see alot more abnormalities on the local birds than on the migratory flocks from up north
