Big River snow goose calls have been suggested to me by several folks BUT they do not seem to be around any more- Flambeau must have sucked them up and no longer offer them so- what calls do you guys suggest-not great caller- want something fairly easy and cheap-also interested in a DVD and or CD's.

For specks, my economy ($20ish) picks are RNT/Quckhead's poly and Haydel's SP-04. Both are relatively easy to run and have killed loads of specks.
Moving up to $65 will get you a Riceland poly, that's a lot of call for that money. And since Riceland also makes the best snow call I've heard, I'd try talking them into making one up for you in poly. That could be the least expensive good snow call since Haydel quit selling turkey diaphram-like snow calls.

I second Ricks vote for quackhead poly speck (that's what I am using at the moment) and ricelands poly. For snow calls I like to mouth call them but when my throat gets soar I use a Sean Mann white out poly snow call.

I haven't ventured into the snow calls yet. But I have killed several specks with a quack head call. But this year I up graded to a REDBONE speck call. And omg I'm working groups of 50. I've killed more geese this year with the Redbone than I have ever..
