I agree, I will be the first one to admit..feeding that land cannon, is as spendy as a bad mistress... If you have a reloader, like I do .. and have it set-up for loading 10 ga.. than you can reload for it at 12 ga prices..as far as weight goes, the browning gold lite 10 ga. has the aluminum alloy reciever.. and weighs in at 9 lbs 9 oz. with 26 inch barrel... I shoot mostly out of layout blinds with my now current weapon of choice , an ithaca magten.. and it works well for what i need it for..I carry it to the blind, and that is where it stays until I am done, or get a limit ..whichever comes first..I don't really have a need to carry it around all day.. when I had my gold lite 10 .. it handled just as well if not a little better/faster....I could use my 12 ga.. in the same fields...But, I like how the bigten knocks down the honkers with AUTHORITY... not having to chase cripples also.. especially when another flock is getting closer.. the 10 gauge is the only weapon, I have gotten a clean triple with, on decoying geese...
let's get back to business,...good luck with the new maxus, I hope you knock them dead in the head... especially with that excellent camo pattern..
