Thing about ramp doors is if you drive into fields or drive anywhere where you can get into deeper ruts, if you. Smack the bottom of the trailer you can really bend up a ramp door and then it won't close...

if you don't mind the extra load of the ramps go with the barn doors. Just make sure you tie them open, the wind will bend the hinges

When I was looking into getting my trailer,I was toldb the guys on here that the trailer ramp can get frosted over and you can slip when entering or exiting your trailer. Made sence to me. I did get the rear ramp as opposed to the barn doors. I'm glad I did as I use my ATV and that makes life alot easier I also must admit,I have lost my footing, did not fall but did get "that feeling"/ The barn doors are a good compromise provided you are willing to tote & mess with them!

I have found the ramp to be the best. Now go to a Hardware store and get some truck bed liner coating. Cover the plywood where you are walking in and out this will keep your feet secure. When coating is almost dry throw some sand on it for more grip.
