Its not so much new but they have made the comp slayer in the black pearl and gold flake with a brass band. You can see it on their Facebook page. I talked to glenn today and i already have mine set back with the orange BIGs. Looks like this off season i will get 2 new calls, the gold comp slayer to match my US Army Canuck and a BEM Canuck. They would do this when i have one already being purchased.

Just an FYI - they are also offering the "Gold Rush" color in the Canuck. I opted to step up to the Comp Slayer for now but I'd love to have one of each of these in this color. Mine should be here today or tomorrow!!!

I'm jealous quack.... I'd love to have the matching Canuck. Maybe someday they'll do another run on those. I took the call outside in the sunlight and the gold really sparkled (not anything that would flare birds though...). I got the Comp Slayer in the mail just today and it is fantastic - I don't know if its the orange BIGS or the call itself but I'm for sure going to be getting another set of those guts for my delrin slayer.

Yeah it's my pic. No problem man. I posted it so people could see the color. Just did'nt have a chance to post it over here. By the way, have you called GK to see if they had any of the Gold Rush Canucks left?

When I loaded the call case Saturday I believe there were 4 or 5 Gold Rush Canucks and 2 or 3 Comp Slayers.

I love not only the color on my new comp slayer but the sound is unreal. I own a lot of calls and the only thing that I regret about the $$ spent on this purchase is that I didn't get a nice GK call sooner.
I now have the gold rush comp slayer and a delrin giant slayer. I doubt it will be this year but I really want to add a canuck to the lanyard too! Oh - I and I hope to get the orange BIGS in the delrin slayer sometime this summer

Go on and order ya a Canuck. It's just money haha. If you do get the Canuck you won't be disappointed by any means. It is a great all around call. My comp slayer should be in today with the BIGs so im sure I will put what I think about it on here compared to my gold rush Canuck.

Please do let me know to help me decide. Does your Canuck have BIGS or edge guts?

it come from the shop with the edge guts and the E4 reeds. i changed mine over to the E3 i think it is more responsive, as fas as i know the canuck doesnt come with the BIGs but you can order them or call the shop and they can set it up however you want.

blackwolf i just now got the comp slayer in and i have to say between it and the canuck i will choose the comp slayer for only one reason though. My comp slayer as stated before came with the broke in guts which make it easier to hit trick notes and flow into other notes quicker. Before anyone jumps on this i know its only because of the fact that one is broke in and the canuck has not been broke in yet. I do love the call though, either way you look at it both calls have goose built into them which make them both killing machines. In conlcusion you cant go wrong with either one of them.

Thanks for your input. I'm loving my comp slayer too. Of all of my calls I think its the easiest one to use effectively. Did you get yours in Gold Rush too?

To each his own I guess -- I tried that Canuk with every gut/reed gk has
It still runs the best with the E4 reed/std guts ( as it was designed) for me -
but yes- that was after I ran it and broke it in some -- there definately was a breakin period
