If they have neck band, they always have leg bands, the neck band is considered "a secondary" band, I called in one with a radio-telemtry neck band, I took a picture in detroit the bird was banded 9 years earlier 2 miles from where i took the picture. Called in just neck band #

That's not true. I've killed two color marked birds without a metal leg band. One was a collar on a speck and the other was a plastic tarsal band on a snow goose.

Don't no about the "collar" and "tarsal" bands, do they have "contact info" on them? As far as I know "neck band" is a "secondary" marker. But I guess there is always the exceptions. So maybe I have learned something new.

Here is how I display my neck band, then again I mount every set of antlers I get, from 2" spike to big 9 point. Everything is a trophy to me, I am blessed to be able to hunt and love having the memories around me, my boy often asks me to tell the story about a set of antlers, I can still remember every buck that I have killed. (I hope it slows the brain aging process)

I think it's safe to say those geese on the hood are lessers or hutchies. Right? Most guys (yes, including myself) thinks they shot a lesser at some point but turns out it was a small greater. :rolling:
If I was a goose I would want to land in my decoys.

Yeah, those be lessers alright. The easiest way I can tell em apart is that they (lessers) almost never flock up with the big boys here and when you see a bunch of big ducks flying that all of a sudden start to "honk"...easy to tell. I swear I let 2 flocks go by me last year because of that! Darn things are little! Will not again!...updated my glasses prescription! :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:
