Postby Fox_hunter42 » Mon Dec 19, 2011 9:13 pm

Look pretty good except for the feet. When will decoy companies lose those stupid, meaningless feet! Price is pretty fair for a dozen decoys.

If they are showing feet, then those are not the new ones. The new ones will be on motion stands and won't be out for a couple months. They have prototypes, but haven't released them yet.

Those ALPHA decoys look sweet, only thing I can see in the picture that I don't like is how shiny the feet & legs are. If they are as good as they look and as tough as a Bigfoot I just might have to get some of those.

Those are the new ones, Sweet. They are supposed to be a little smaller than last year, which would make them more like a Bigfoot B2. Plus the motion stand, and I was told lower price.

Kelly, those are some sharp lookin decoys right there! $300.00 a dozen. If they are as good in the quality department as every other Higdon decoy I will be lookin hard at them for next fall. You know better than anybody how much I like Higdon brand decoys.

For that price most my averys would be gone, All my higdons I owned were tough, Although I believe if they added one more type of curved feeder or something like an aggresive feeder it would take the decoys to a new level and they could include the feet in the box if you want them put them on and if not leave them in the box JMO

My biggest question is size. That's a deal breaker for me. Almost look to be about the size of bigfoots. I have no questions about durability.

The 2011 decoys were just a little smaller than a Bigfoot. And according to Ben at Higdon Decoys, the new ones are supposed to be a little smaller than last years. He said they would be bigger than a Lessor, but smaller than the old ones. My guess is abouthte size of the B2's. He told me the durability and paint would be the same as the old ones. I wish I would have waited and not bought my new GHG's. I also just bought a doz. discounted 2011 HIgdon's. Should have waited. Guess I will be selling all GHG's and replacing with the new HIgdon's.

"We will be adding the Alpha decoys to our website, as stock items, in the next month or two. At that time we will put out detailed descriptions and additional pictures. "

Here is a little more info: ·
Alpha Full Body packs, TruFeeder, TruSentry, and TruWalker are $99.99 per 4pk. All the full bodies are 23” to 24” breast to tail. These are a nice size, much larger than Lesser decoys but smaller than our older model Full Body geese. Flocked heads, as with all our Canada geese. The motion / stake system is maybe the best thing about these. We designed these to be very portable and hassle free. You can leave the stands permanently attached or quickly remove for long term storage. They set on a circle base and have a small bungee between the legs which allows for a nice fluid motion and give you the ability to control the direction the decoy faces. The legs are attached by a bungee system so you can’t break the legs and you don’t have to worry about loosing them. Considering the price we believe there is nothing on the market even close to these. ·

The new Alpha Full Body packs will also be offered in Fully Flocked models “3D Alpha.” $149.99 4pk. We haven’t released any more info on them at this time. ·

The “Wobbler” is the new version of our Full Form Shells, pic attached. These are cut out of the Alpha Full Body and come with a strait stake. They will be offered in a mixed 6pk for $99.99. ·

Our full motion feeder is called the “Alpha Prowler.” This decoy has the same body and motion stand as the Alpha TruFeeder but they will have a full motion head. The motion on these looks incredible. $129.99 4pk or the fully flocked version “3D Alpha Prowler” is $179.99 per 4pk
