Here's a way to get permisssion to hunt

I like to take pictures of geese, so today after leaving a jobsite I drove past this lake with a stream running in to it. Noticed some Canadas standing on the ice, but all along the road and lake were "no trespassing" signs. So I drove up to the house and asked the owner if I could walk on thier yard and take pictures ofthe geese, he says "sure". So I take a couple of shots with the zoom (didn't notice the Bling at that time) as they scoot into the water and swim away. The owner comes out we talk a little. I tell him I like to hunt them too, but really like Photographing them alot. "you can hunt here if you want" he says. 17 acres along side of lake, stream goes through another 5 acres and widens out, and is connected to another lake, I will be back!



So get your cameras out and go "scouting"

Congrats on a new place to hunt, and the advice!!! You know its all about getting a conversation started, and the landowner getting a feel for the type of person you are. I hope to try this photo scouting goose hunting permission thing in the future..
