goosebuster v/s tanglefree

Postby cajungoosehunter » Wed Nov 16, 2011 1:03 pm

I made the same post on another forum but I was wondering what is the better blind. I'm 6'2about 260 and I normally hunt a cut soybean field which doesn't have much coverage. The two main things I'm looking for about these blinds is stubble straps and cockpit area

The tanglefree Big Sean Hammocks blind is big. The cockpit is huge, you will have plenty of room inside. My dad uses that blind and hes 6'2" and about 260. He seems to like it a lot. I would suggest getting the F/A hot seat for the blind, it will actually make it comfortable to sit in for hours. From my experience none of the maufactures use enough cushion in the blind seats.

I'll be getting a Goosebuster XL when the funds are available. Great blind for the money. I've also heard Rogers is going to some package deal with it and a snow cover in the near future. The Goosebuster is made by Tanglefree for Rogers and is very similar to the Dead Zone. there are some other posts about the Goosebuster on here and if you read through them I'm sure you'll find all the info you'll need to make a decision.

The Tangle Free Dead Zone and the Rogers Goosebuster XL are basically the same blind guys. When I ordered mine, I talked to Fred at length about it and while he reported there are some upgrades over the DZ just for him, it is still made by TF.

Cajun, I have the dead zone and it has alot of room even for us bigger guys. Even though it is a bigger blind, it still hides as good or better than some others because it has a larger footprint. The edges are not squared making it easy to hide. It has enough stubble straps to make it dissappear. As DSM said, they are both made by tanglefree and are basically the same thing. You can't go wrong with either one. If there was a downside, it would be that they don't fold up very much. Not really a downer if you have the room though, I just leave it set up.

Thanks very much guys. I didn't know Tanglefree made the Goosebusters guess you learn something everyday. Now I have to wait until I get my safety card to buy my blind. One thing good about my job safety points can go towards anything.
