Goose kabobs

Postby LabWhisper » Sat Jan 09, 2010 3:14 pm

Cut breast in cubes (2x2 -3x3)

Soak 2-8 hrs cheap Italian dressing (wishbone works well)

Start grill, coals or gas med heat fine (have a cold one waiting for grill to warm up)

Take peppered bacon (thick slice works best) and wrap around goose chunk, secure with toothpick

Then put on kabob stick (soak those in water prior to using, that way they dont burn

Use pepper (green, red, yellow), mushroom (whole), onion rotate in between breast chunks (about 3 chunks per stick)

Put on grill ,turn every few mins, when bacon is done (about 7-10 mins) goose will be done (rare to med rare) Cool

enjoy with the cold beer
you have left Beer Let me know if use or like ? I use this on the days when we are really killing geese and eating em that night

I love Kabobs

Postby hardcoreducks » Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:35 am

I eat kabobs all the time I do them a little different though. I just cut them in cubes and maranate them in soya sauce tomatoe juice onion and whatever spice i fell like especially salt and sugar wierd combination but it works I usally do all this when there fresh then freze them in smaller batches. I like to cook them untill they are still just a little pink and serve them with fries and of course a beer. People that hate geese actually like these and it's a nice change from dry goose breast. We've got pretty creative over the years trying to use it up. I'am defintly going to try it your way I bet the bacoon keeps it moist.
