Diamond plate on a trailer???

Postby DesertSnowHunter » Mon Nov 07, 2011 12:38 am

just picked up a 7x16 black enclosed double axle with a drop gate in the back woulda preferred barn doors but i got it for just under a thousand so i'm not complaining! It has diamond plate though around the bottom rim and front, do you guys think that's an issue? needs a little TLC and the stickers peeled off but in great shape! thinking of rhino lining the DP? Thanks guys

That diamond plating will save your trailer if you trailer gravel roads a lot. I wish I had it on mine, but my next one will for sure have diamond plating. I'm also going to rhino line the floor and bottom 1' of the walls too.

Mine has it....I like the protection ya get . Sealing the bottom and the Rhino Lining will add alot of life also...I'd do it!

I also put a HEAVY coating of the spary -on undercoating on the exterior bottom of my new trailer. Keeps the frame from rusting out, deadens sound and impacts from rocks/gravel and will keep any exposed wood from rotting out...
