Hi Guys
I have 72 Bigfoot decoys. This summer being retired I made up 3 doz. old school silos out of plywood. My question is when you guys that use silos how do you place them in your spread? Do you just mix them in, or do you put them in the back of the spread or should I not use them at all with my Bigfoots?

You got yourself a great spread with 72 bigfoots. I (personally) wouldn't use them in that spread but since you have them you could just fill them in among the bigfoots just for sheer numbers. Just my.02 ... 30yrs. ago I made 4dz. silos out of plywood, couldn't afford decoys back then. Man, they were heavy as s*#t, but they worked until someone stole them.

After all that work....I'd use em! I too would mix them into your big foot full body spread. I used to have a mess of them too. Those plywood deeks really worked their magic. Again, just thinkin back on just how far goose decoys have come in a short time

we mix all the time just mix them in your silos will be darker than the big foots so you will have 2 differnt color spreads , so we just mix them everywhere.

I'll let you know there brand new. Havn't figured out how I'm going to haul them yet. Ether in the bed of my truck or I have a flat bed trailer. I'll figur out some thing. I guess I'll get some tube socks and cover the heads and throw them in the truck. So you think mixing the silos will be OK. I remember years ago thats all we had. We made them out of panneling because a lot of people had panneling in their houses back then in the late 60's early 70's and we were young and broke. They worked back then. I would think birds are a lot smarter now. they have probibly seen about every kind of spread there is before they get down to Southern Illinos. Thats kinda why I made them to see if they will still work.. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun too.
Thanks Guys I'm going to give them a try.
