Day number four in the field with Big Al's decoys

Postby DSM16428 » Wed Jan 18, 2012 7:47 am

Ok, we got another cold snap and a nice strong NW wind this morning so hopefully the birds roosted on the lake will be forced to fly a little early today due to the rough water. Ill post up more when the day is done. Wish me luck!

Completely skunked today. Dawn till dusk and not a bird in the sky. Oh well. At least this cold weather is supposed to hang around for a while. Might bring down some new birds from accross the pond soon...

Cheer up with the frigid temps in Alberta and Sask minus 33 and wind chill of minus 40 celcuis will drive anything south and same as the northern states. I want to see big Al's decoys succeed.

Snow and cold headed your way Don. For a change...I saw birds moving earlier in the morning yesterday than usual. Lately the best movement is from 11AM thru about 4:30 PM. We are getting most of our birds around 2 PM. Moving in bursts...Hang in there! 8)
