Avoid Haulmark Trailers

Postby F250 » Tue Nov 15, 2011 3:54 pm

I bought a Haulmark, enclosed, 12' tandum axle trailer 2 years ago. I have had it back to my dealer 3 times. It eats a set of tires every 2000 miles - wearing from the inside out. The dealer has told Haulmark it needs both axles replaced. Haulmark will not return my phone calls and has told my dealer to fight it out with the Dexter Axle Co. Dexter says to call Haulmark. All the trailer carries is an ATV, and some bags of Big Foots. So much for the poster Haulmark has posted on the inside of the trailer : "One Company, One Warranty, One Call". Ya... RIGHT !!

Is the trailer under waranty? That is too bad about how they won't take care of you. If it were me I'd just keep harrassing them untill something got done. The greasy wheel always gets the grease.

I've heard that haulmark trailers aren't known for their durability. They are deasant trailers but not great. I owned a haulmark for a year and sold it to a buddy who has had it for a year with no problems but they aren't the best built. My .02

I left a voice-mail with Haulmark "customer service" on November 17. I told her that I was posting information about the poor warranty service concerning my trailer on Hunting Forums on the web. When I got home that night she had left me a voice-mail advising the two new axles and 4 new tires would be shipped to my dealer shortly. Interesting ! They had not responded to me ever. They had not responded to my dealer in over a month. This whole affair has been on-going for a year and a half. I guess it is the power of the web. Thanks for letting me vent on this forum. I'll update when, or, if the parts arrive.

Having been in sales and management for about 10 years I understand believe me. If a company drops the ball they should expect to get flamed! Let us know how it turns out.

I've been pulling a "CLASSIC" for 8 years, no problems with it, and I haul it at least every other day, they went BR, but are starting back up, when I get the new name I will post it. (BR was not due to customer issues, just burnt by the Economy, I heard from insider whom I trust)

The dealer called yesterday. The two new axles and four tires have arrived. It was certainly a long frustrating ordeal. I do believe what really got the ball rolling, was when I told the "Customer Service" folks that I was going to begin posting my story on hunting web sites.
