any suggestions?

Postby kwacksmackin » Sat Jan 08, 2011 4:35 pm

i live in easter nebraska grown up around waterfowling since i was probably 10 been calling since i was probably 14 and now that i hunt field with a couple guys and been getting really serious about it i find great fields and watch them for a bout a week and i dont get till the weekends to hunt. the birds are there the night before but the days i hunt ill be out there for a whole day dawn till dusk and the geese dont show or they fly right on by been getting a few ducks here and there now duck season is over and the geese have been flaring. Between me and my friend we have about 100 decoys and we change our spread everytime we set up and all we get is skunked. the flagging helps but the minute my buddy starts calling with me they take off. any suggestions???? :sniper:

Have him put down the call and let him flag. I was in the exact same spot as your buddy until I got good at calling. Thats what I would suggest.
Early, to bed, early to rise, hunt all day, make up lies.

As mean as it seems, sounds like he may need to set his call down for a while. I usually let someone else call because I'm no pro then go home after the hunt and try to reproduce their calls.

Maybe you could give him a few pointers in the off season. Practice makes perfect
