I can't complain. I've never had a single problem with it. The over-bored barrel definitely throws some great patterns.

870 "Wingmaster" "Magnum" 1970's and up...Should have "those" words/wording...You will have a gun that shoots 3" Magnum shells! You can also get updated Remington barrels with Rem-choke system for waterfowl/ considering that those former barrels had fixed chokes in them. You can also get synthetic stocks and forearms for those (older) guns from Remington. Then, there is the "Experess" model to choose from as well, which offers a 3" magnum as well. All prior to the 887 model...which does not really compare to the former/s mentioned above in my opinion. Good Luck!
