6x10 Carry-On?

Postby DSM16428 » Sun Jul 03, 2011 4:18 pm

I have the chance to pick up a 6x10 Carry-On enclosed trailer with barn rear doors, a side man door, 15" wheels and tie downs brand new for $2000.00 including tax, tags and title. I am more familiar with the Haulmark and Featherlite brands but the equivilant size in those around my parts are rediculously over priced as there is only one dealer within about 200 miles in any direction and they know it. Does any body have any knowledge on them and any tips, do's/dont's on the Carry-On line of trailers? I'm not to fond of the thinner luon interior but I can replace the interior side panels with something more robust easiy and cheap. Any help would be appreciated.

Nice! I just went and got a 4" drop hitch/ball. Wondering if its too much on my 4x4 dakota or if I should stay with my 2" drop?

It's too small go bigger, then you can buy more decoys to fill the bigger trailer. Then you will get tired of having all of them decoys and not using them. So then you can sell them to me for a good price and I will be really happy, LOL

Nice Kelly!! Lol. I'm only gonna be runnin 7 dozen FBs so I should have room for a wheelerand a few blinds. Picking up a small gennie and a couple of articulated, swing arm halogen work lights to go just inside the rear for those zero dark thirty set ups. Kelly you'll do awesome this fall I'm sure of it. After all those deeks you got have had a butt load of geese killed over em, and in em...and on em.

I bet they have. I have picked up a couple new fields which are prime late season spots. Had a good season last year, if the Geese come back we will do ok.

a 4in drop is too much for a dakota IMO unless you have a lift. a 4in drop doesnt work for everybody, kinda like saying my 8in drop would be perfect for your f150. If i had a 4in drop my trailer's tails woud be dragging the ground, even with a 6in drop on my truck my dove tail would scrape on anything but flat ground!

I have an 8in drop and regret not getting the 10in drop, when I go to hook up to my boat the jack still doesnt get high enough when hooking up to go over the ball, I have to lift the tounge of the triler up to the ball.
